This is a fast paced course taught in the classroom and on local interstates or major arterials. It requires local agency support, as scenarios will be run in public traffic situations where attendees must react to role player actions without being detected by target personnel. The successful surveillance of mobile suspects in heavy traffic and close urban areas in never easy or a sure thing without good training, equipment, and viable techniques that ensure success in a constantly changing environment. The course is designed for officers who are newly assigned to police narcotics, detectives, or special enforcement.
