Advanced SWAT

This physically and mentally demanding course is for SWAT/SRT team members that have basic SWAT certification. This course covers tactics and techniques that insure the success of the police tactical team when presented with out of routine situations such as multiple suspects, fortified locations, or a subject with training in combat or martial skills.

Prerequisites:

Restricted to full time local, state, and federal law enforcement officers assigned to a SWAT/SRT team or active duty military police.

  • CQB techniques
  • Covert, individual and team movements
  • Emergency reload and malfunction drills
  • Functioning under stress
  • Advanced tactical marksmanship
  • Downed officer / victim rescue
  • Sniper activated entries
  • Arrest team tactics
  • Vehicle and bus assaults
  • Special weapon / munitions use
  • Dynamic entry
  • Active shooter
  • Barricaded suspects
  • Hostage rescue / High risk warrant service
  • Breaching and entries
  • Scenario based training on actual structures

Equipment Needed:
  • Body armor
  • Load bearing vest
  • Primary weapon (MP5, M4, etc.)
  • Service pistol
  • 350 rounds for primary weapon (MP5/M4/Shotgun)
  • 50 rounds for service pistol
  • Weapons cleaning system
  • Helmet
  • Respirator
  • Safety glasses or goggles
  • Ear Protection
  • Assault gloves
  • Knee & elbow pads
  • Radio with ear piece and remote mike (only if attending as a team)
  • Nomex balaclava
  • Nomex or other flame resistant clothing -BDUs (recommended)
  • Good pair of boots
  • Straight bladed knife with sheath
  • Flashlight
  • First aid kit (personal)
  • Mirror (tactical)
