Basic SWAT
40 training hours (5 days)
Cost: $750
This is a 5 day course designed for officers that have been recently assigned to a SWAT Team. This fast paced course is physically demanding and provides the initial training and assessment to determine if the officer is SWAT team capable.
Prerequisites:
Restricted to full time local, state, or federal law enforcement officers assigned to a SWAT/SRT team.

- SWAT equipment
- Weapons (primary/secondary)
- Mission planning considerations and principles
- Chemical agents, less-lethal, and distraction devices
- Tactics
- Covert, individual, and team movement
- Raid planning and team movements
- Searches and building clearing
- Dynamic entry
- Active shooter
- Warrant service
- Hostage rescue
- Breaching and entries
- Perimeter operations
- Scenario based training on actual structures
Equipment Needed:
- Body armor
- Load bearing vest
- Primary weapon (MP5, M4, etc.)
- Service pistol
- 350 rounds for primary weapon (MP5/M4/Shotgun)
- 50 rounds for service pistol
- Weapons cleaning system
- Helmet
- Respirator
- Safety glasses or goggles
- Ear protection
- Assault gloves
- Knee & elbow pads
- Radio with ear piece and remote mike (if attending as a team)
- Nomex balaclava
- Nomex or other flame resistant clothing-BDUs (recommended)
- Good pair of boots
- Straight bladed knife with sheath
- Flashlight
- First aid kit (personal)
- Nylon cord (30 meters)
- Mirror (tactical)
- Wire cutters
- Watch
- Flex cuffs (4)
- Duty Handcuffs with key
- Lighter or matches
- Waterproof notebook / Pencil / Pen
- Rubber door wedges (2) (not mandatory)
- Hydration System (CamelBak)
